Tutorial 11, Chapter 1 - Wheelbarrow

At last - back to some normality. I hope you enjoyed our two unusual shows for the last couple of weeks. Today we start another proper image tutorial and this time I'm covering how to produce this very gritty style. To begin with, though, we spend quite a bit of time on composition and composition exercises. And just for added spice there's a little update on the Lightroom review as well. Enjoy!

When I try to download the original file to follow along with this tutorial, instead of the download I am sent back to your main page.

I was pleased to see my pic at the end of the show!!

Nice show, I like the fact that you aren't only doing photoshop things, and speaking of composition. I'm following a couple of podcast, and you're the easiest one to understand!

Great!!

(I can't download the file too...)

Hi John,

I really enjoyed how you showed your group of pictures from which you have chosen the wheelbarrow picture. I found it both interesting and informative. Can you do a similar look through of pictures for future editions? (i.e. how you zeroed in on a subject(s), different versions of the same subject and how you decided on the end photo to work with).

Thanks for putting on such a great podcast! :-)

Hi John

I support Holly's comment, it was very informative to see the group of pictures you had to choose from and hear you comments on the good or bad on each one. I often find myself in the same situation that you have to pick one or at least a few from a large group of puctures. I also liked to hear your comment on why you took that particularly shoot and what you were aiming fore.

Great show

Thanks for letting me know about the problem. It looks like we had a little libsyn filedeath there. I've re-uploaded the original to Mevio and it should be downloadable now. I've also embedded a Vimeo player so that you can watch it in your browser if you wish.
