Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 10:21AM Today we start Tutorial 18 where I show you my take on how to Draganize a portrait using Adobe Photoshop CS4. Discover the Dragan effect by viewing Andrzej Dragan's amazing portraits if you're not familiar with his style. This is a 3 part free photoshop video tutorial and this section lays the ground work with getting the light and detail levels right using dodging and burning layers with soft light, hard light and a wacom pen and touch tablet so that the later, draganizing layers will look right. We also perform some basic colour correction using a curves layer.

Haven't been here in ages, I was fairly active in the Flickr group when it first started. How fast do you churn out tutorials? I'm very interested in the next two chapters.
Hey Conor. Good to see you back on the site. I'm working hard to bring PhotoWalkthrough back strong at the moment. I've simplified a lot of things so I can produce shows more frequently and so far it's going well. You can be certain that Chapters 2 and 3 of this tutorial will be out very soon. Chapter 2 is already scheduled to launch next week and Chapter 3 is recorded and ready to go after that. So I hope you'll resubscribe!
Awesome, will subscribe for sure. Your tutorial and photography work has inspired me to become a photographer and better cinematographer, wouldn't be where I am without you. Since then I've worked professionally, and plan on pursuing that lifestyle. You are awesome and I'm glad to hear Photowalkthrough is still going strong and will get even stronger.
I realise this is a little late but I had a go at shooting some images and editing them as per this tutorial today and I thought I would drop a link in here and say thanks for the show.
I've only edited one so far:

thanks again.
