At last! Here's the final chapter in tutorial 7. In this show we cover selective blur and selective sharpening. And sorry it's late. I recorded this show before I went to Paris and then I forgot to encode and upload it before I went. So here I am launching it after I got back.
This week in the second to last episode of this tutorial I spend quite a bit of time explaining what I'm trying to do with the light on this image and this really is the heart of this edit. It's what makes the picture what it is. I also cover levels adjustment layers and how to spread the tones in the shot more evenly across the histogram.
Here we are again, tutorial 3 of our Distorted Tree image. This time I talk a little bit about why I like the Holga style and show you some images from a Holga then go on to work on the sky of my image and generally increase the contrast.
Yes, it's Saturday and the show is launching early. As I mentioned last week I'm away from today for a week so I wasn't going to be around on Monday to do a show. This is the closest point I can manage to the proper launch day so here it is early. This week I decided to cover a couple of things we've done before, spot editing and B&W conversion, but show you a number of different ways to achieve the same result. Useful stuff I hope.
This week we start a new tutorial that covers some new techniques. We'll steal a few tricks from the Holga style as well as learning a lot about how to make and save selections. This episode I spend most of my time working on Michel van Helden's image of the Latrappe Kloosterbrouwerij in the Netherlands.
