Tutorial 26, Chapter 3 - Bethany

In this, the final chapter of this tutorial we get deeper into Silver Efex Pro to show how we can fine tune this high key black and white portrait. We teak the brightness and contrast with the highlights, midtones, shadows and dynamic brightness sliders. We also use amplify whites and blacks and tweak soft contrast to change the balance of tones in the image. We use a colour filter to bring out detail and finally do some spot editing with Silver Efex control points.

PW1 - Tutorial 1 Chapter 1 - Weston at Low Tide

This is a re-encoding and re-release of our first ever PhotoWalkthrough tutorial. Since first starting the show your number 1 request has been to make Tutorial 1 available for download. Well I'm happy to deliver on that at long last. I'll release a show every day throughout tutorial 1 and then we'll be back to our regular shows. In this show we cover noise reduction, spot editing and layer masking.

Tutorial 13, Chapter 4 - PhotoWalkthrough Promo Shot

This week we spend some time with the Lightroom Developer Module preparing our images for the final stage in Photoshop CS3. We play with the exposure sliders, white balance, spot editing and healing and then cropping. We also look at composition using foreground, middleground and background. And we review the entries to last week's shallow depth of field challenge while we listen to Howard Jones' latest podsafe hit, Revolution of the Heart.

Tutorial 7, Chapter 2 - Distorted Tree

Yes, it's Saturday and the show is launching early. As I mentioned last week I'm away from today for a week so I wasn't going to be around on Monday to do a show. This is the closest point I can manage to the proper launch day so here it is early. This week I decided to cover a couple of things we've done before, spot editing and B&W conversion, but show you a number of different ways to achieve the same result. Useful stuff I hope.
