This image was taken on the deck of HMS Belfast during the first London get together held by members of the Tips From The Top Floor forum. This detail on one of the cabin doors attracted me with its simplicity of shapes and colours. It later ocurred to me that it might look good as a cross processed image. Here you can see the result and I've created a 3 chapter tutorial on the process I followed. During this tutorial I cover creating the cross processing layer, creating and running actions and a bunch of other stuff like dodging and burning, vignettes, and spot editing.
As usual I talk pretty fast in order to keep file sizes down. I'm now using AVIs so you should be able to pause and rewind the movie if you miss something. I'm still using unregistered software to create these videos but as soon as I settle on a format and a product I'll be purchasing the full version. Regretably I doubt I'll be able to afford something expensive like Macromedia Captivate.
